The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund, in our first year in 1982, awarded one $500 scholarship. Since then, through 40 years, we have been able to award scholarships to over 400 students for a total of over one million dollars. In 2022, we awarded $257,000 to 41 students for a record year.

The mission of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund, a 501 (c) 3 organization, is to provide scholarships for J.P. McCaskey High School graduating seniors who have been accepted to an accredited higher education program and have demonstrated financial need. Funds will be raised by the Board of Directors and awarded to accomplished students who reflect Dr. King’s ideals of commitment to school, community, family, and faith.
